概要
Mana Yoshinaga Profile Performing Musician of Ikuta Style Koto and Jiuta Shamisen Mana Yoshinaga began her study of Ikuta Style Koto at age 5 and later, she started studying Jiuta Shamisen. She graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and School of Music, Department of Japanese Music, majoring in Ikuta Koto. Mana formed “Rin’,” a trio of traditional Japanese instruments, and made her major debut from Avex Trax as “Mana”. The band staged concerts in various venues in Japan and their musical pieces have been used in TV commercials and movies. Rin’ has appeared in many overseas TV and radio programs including NHK World. Rin’s musical piece was appointed as the ending theme song of “SAMURAI 7”, the animated version of Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai.The number of koto performers who are able to deal not only with traditional performance art, but also pop, rock, musicals and other new music is very few and Mana is active as a leading koto player among them.
