概要

Thundercat is the alter ego of virtuosic bassist / singer Stephen Bruner, a mercurial talent and GRAMMY Award winner in 2021 for his album “It Is What It Is” (Best Progressive R&B Album) and 2016 (for his contribution to ‘These Walls’ by Kendrick Lamar). Highly respected and much in-demand with his peers, Thundercat has previously worked with the likes of Ariana Grande, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell, Herbie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Kendrick Lamar, HAIM, N.E.R.D., Leon Ware, Ty Dolla $ign, Childish Gambino, Mac Miller, Suicidal Tendencies, Anderson .Paak, Janelle Monáe, Erykah Badu, Moses Sumney, Dave Chapelle, Wiz Khalifa, Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, Sa-Ra Creative Partners and many more, in addition to his longtime writing partner Flying Lotus. The name Thundercat is a reference to the cartoon he’s loved since childhood and an extension of his wide-eyed, vibrant, often superhuman approach to his craft.
