Kawazu Project

概要

Kawazu Media is a documentary channel which launched by Tadashi Shinohara and Retsu Motoyoshi. This channel aims to report documentary videos about Japanese social issue including aging. Tadashi Shinohara is a journalist, editor and documentary video producer. He joined the Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. which is subsidiary of Nikkei in 1999. He made a number of articles for the Nikkei Business for more than 20 years. He was assigned editor in chief at New York bureau for 4 years. After going back to Japan, he worked as a senior editor of Nikkei Business. He became independent in April 2020. Retsu Motoyoshi is an award-winning filmmaker based in NY. After graduating college in Japan, he moved to New York to study filmmaking, where he made a number of short films. His short film “the day, the summer” was shown at numerous international film festivals, and his first documentary work “the changing tradition” won the Best Short Documentary award.
